Mr. Allen joined us this semester teaching the junior high,and has already made a lasting impression on me. As a teacher, Mr. Allen is very talented. He connects with all of the children in my class as well as myself, and of course, kids of all age groups. He is both stern and kind, and most importantly I have learned more from him than from any of my other teachers. Not only education wise, but about how to better myself as a person in general. He has taught me how to deal with people who I do not necessarily agree with, he has made me aware that it is okay to be angry or sad, but that it is also necessary to see the brighter side of things. He has given me hope, when before I had nobody to confide in. Giving him this award would be the least I could do to let him know how much I appreciate everything he has done! He is an amazing teacher, and I hope that he ends up getting all of the success in his career that he deserves.
