JASON ALDEAN HEADLINES MINERS MUSIC FEST

MARION, Ill. – Peoples National Bank, Miller Lite – Koerner Distributor and New Country Z100 present Miners Music Fest featuring Jason Aldean with special guests LoCash Cowboys and Caitlin & Will on Saturday, Aug. 29 at Rent One Park.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m., and gates will open at 5:30 p.m. All tickets will be $35 general admission seating. Fans will be invited to sit on the field or in the grandstand. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, June 9 at 9 a.m. at the Rent One box office as well as on line at www.southernillinoisminers.com or by calling 998-8499.
“This is the type of event we spoke about bringing to Southern Illinois when we broke ground on the ballpark. We want to show concert promoters that Rent One Park and Southern Illinois are a viable music venue for large outdoor shows,” Miners Vice President Erik Haag said. “We believe this will be the first of many concerts at Rent One Park.”
Haag continued, “We can’t thank Peoples National Bank, Bill Bonan II, Koerner Distributor, Mark Jones, the people at Miller Lite & New Country Z100, Steve Falat & Dave McKenzie enough for believing in this event and partnering with us.”
Fans can bring blankets and sit on the playing field, however, lawn chairs are prohibited. Groups will be able to rent the picnic gardens at Rent One Park for $50 per person and enjoy all-you-can-eat food from 5:30-7 p.m.

A native of Macon, Ga., Aldean’s third album, Wide Open, is in stores now and features the No. 1 single “She’s Country.” Earlier this year he toured with country music star Toby Keith.
“We at Miller Lite and Koerner Distributor are very excited to be a part of this exciting concert coming to Southern Illinois,” Koerner Distributor Marketing Manager Kristin Korn said. “It's not very often you can see country stars such as Jason Aldean this close to home.”
The LoCash Cowboys are comprised of Christopher Lucas and Preston Brust, two talented performers known for their high-energy shows. Caitlin & Will gained fame from winning CMT’s Can You Duet. Their first CD, “Dark Horse,” is due out this summer.
