It’s National Onion Ring DAY!!  Woooo-hooo!!  I LOVE ONION RINGS!!  And I thought I’d give you my recipe on frying up a batch at home!

First off, get some good, big, yellow onions!  Vidalia, whatever!  Slice em’ up, and heat your oil to about 375 in your deep fryer.  After your rings are cut, you’ll need a big bowl for your wet mixture, and a 9×13 for your dry mixture.  In your wet area, you’ll have about a half gallon of milk, and a couple eggs beaten together.  After blended, add a healthy dose of Frank’s Red Hot and mix again til it turns pink!  Then in your dry, add a good amount of flour, salt, pepper, garlic salt, and… JERK SEASONING!  Not a whole bunch, but just enough to make it interesting!

Add some of your rings to your wet, then roll them in your dry.  (Be very careful NOT to break your rings!  Be gentle!)  Then, take your rings back into your wet for another bath, and then coat them again in the dry!!  They will be very messy!

After they have been coated TWICE, fry them up!  DO NOT CROWD YOUR FRYER!  Use only enough rings to make a nice, even layer!  It will take just a few minutes to fry up a batch.  There ya go!  Let me know how they turn out at your next frish fry! #KiTC
