Campus officials say several televisions, computers and other electrical equipment at the University of Illinois Springfield was either damaged or stolen over the weekend.

University spokesman Derek Schnapp says that several areas of the university’s Public Affairs Center and Brookens Library were targeted overnight Sunday.

Schnapp didn’t have an estimate on how much the damage would cost.

Police are investigating whether more than one person was involved and how they accessed the buildings, including reviewing surveillance. Schnapp says they haven’t seen broken glass from windows or damaged doors.

Schnapp says finals were last week, so most students were not on campus.
