Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s office brought in nearly 900 million dollars to the state last year.

Madigan says she’s proud of the work her office has done and the 864 million dollars collected in 2017.

The money comes from lawsuit settlements, including over 19 million from a settlement with Moody’s Investors Services, as well as child support enforcement, fines, estate tax revenues, and tobacco litigation.

Madigan says for every dollar of taxpayer funding her office received, they generated 28 dollars for the state’s coffers.
