MURPHYSBORO, IL. (WJPF) – A Murphysboro man will spend the next two years behind bars on drug and DUI charges.

In March 2019, 30-year-old James Burke was stopped by Carbondale Police for driving the wrong way down a one-way street.

Burke showed signs of narcotic induced impairment and admitted to being high on heroin. A search of his car turned up a small amount of meth, and numerous pills.
