FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — The body of a Fairview Heights man has been recovered from Rend Lake.

Bryan Petty, 37, went into the water Monday evening while boating with his family.

Petty’s body was located just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in about 11 feet of water.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. Alcohol is a suspected factor in Petty’s death.
