SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — A City of Springfield police officer has been arrested on charges of sexual misconduct.

Taylor Staff, 26, was arrested Tuesday by Illinois State Police. He faces charges of official misconduct, criminal sexual misconduct, and custodial sexual misconduct.

ISP investigators say from January 2020 through July 2020 Staff had inappropriate contact, while on-duty, with three separate people.

Staff is currently being held in the Sangamon County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
