The Carbondalae Terriers announced the hiring of Apryl Gordon as their next volleyball coach on Monday.

Gordon takes over for long-time coach Fae Ragan.

Gordon is a disciple of another volleyball coaching legend in the region – Mike Layne.  She served as an assistant on his staff for more than 20 years at Murphysboro.  She served as head coach for two seasons after Layne left Murphysboro, putting up a 24-17 record in 2019 and the shortened 2020-21 season.
