MARION COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – A Centralia woman has been convicted of Arson.

50 year old Misty Podergois was charged with arson in April 2022 after a pickup truck was discovered on fire on March 15, 2022, in Centralia. Security video and witness interviews led investigators to Podergois being a suspect.

The jury deliberated for approximately 40 minutes after hearing testimony from various witnesses.

Sentencing is set for August 19th at 1pm.
