Today, we say thank you to our First Responder Friday salute… David Dolderer of the Buckner Fire Department!  Here’s the email nomination we received for the chief of the Buckner Fire Department:

“David Dolderer is the Chief at the Buckner Volunteer Fire Department in Buckner, Illinois. It may be located in a small town and be volunteer only, they’re just like any other local fire department. Everyone on the department loves what they do, especially the Chief. He is very passionate about helping people and always has. Firefighting started off as something to try out, since his dad and grandpa were firefighters. He balances not only being the Chief, but also working at Continental Tire, being a husband, father, son, brother and friend. He takes his role very seriously, but also likes to make it fun for everyone when it comes to training and tries to connect with everyone individually. He may have gained a few extra gray hairs and sleepless nights, but he has also gained a family and loves his job. I applaud him and grateful to call him an outstanding member of the First Responder world.”

Every Friday we say THANK YOU to our local first responders!  If you know someone who deserves a shout-out here on the radio, nominate him or her with THIS LINK!
