A northern Illinois historian has found what appears to be a pressed flower from Abraham Lincoln’s casket.

Will County Historical Society President Sandy Vasko says she found it in a box belonging to the family of a Civil War soldier and former mayor of Joliet.

A curator at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield has confirmed that the flower appears to be the “real deal.”
