After two years of extensive renovations, the governor’s mansion is Springfield is set to reopen to the public on July 14th.

Nearly 15 million dollars in private donations were raised to help fund the project.

First Lady Diana Rauner says the mansion was last restored in 1972 and was in horrible shape when she and the governor moved in a few years ago.

When the executive mansion reopens this summer, it will be A-D-A compliant and have a visitors center with tours seven days a week.
