CARBONDALE, IL. (WJPF) – Jury selection in the murder trial of Jarrell Pullen begins Tuesday in Murphysboro.

Pullen is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of JaVon Trott. Trott was found in a parking lot near the Eurma C Hayes Center in Carbondale in March of 2017. He later died at Carbondale Memorial Hospital.

Jarrell Pullen is the brother of Jody Pullen, who was recently arrested and charged in connection to a recent shooting near ABC Liquor Mart and Tres Hombres in Carbondale that injured four.
