FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL. (WJPF) – One person is dead after a Memorial Day UTV accident in Franklin County.

It happened around 6:20 PM Monday on Knight Hawk Coal Company property northeast of Sesser. The property was marked as “No Trespassing” and alcohol is a suspected factor in the accident.

29-year-old Bradley Rose, of Mt. Vernon, was driving the UTV up a nearly 80 degree slope when vehicle hit a rut, causing it to rollover end over end, ejecting Rose. The vehicle the landed on top of him. He was not wearing a seatbelt or a helmet.
