MURPHYSBORO, IL. (WJPF) – A Murphysboro woman has been killed in a Wednesday night crash in Jackson County.

Police say 42-year-old Angela Woods was driving an SUV west on Old 13 near Pump House Road when she hit a tree laying across the road.

Woods was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
