COOK COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – An Illinois State Police vehicle was been involved in a Scott’s Law crash Sunday.

It happened at about 7:00 p.m. in Cook County. ISP says the squad car was hit from behind while the trooper was stopped on the side of the road helping another driver. The trooper was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. They were treated and released from a hospital.

So far this year, there have been 10 ISP squad cars hit in Scott’s Law crashes, injuring five troopers.
