Gov. Pritzker tests positive for COVID-19

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) – Governor JB Pritzker has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 57-year-old said Tuesday he has mild symptoms and has been prescribed the anti-viral Paxlovid. He’s fully vaccinated and double boosted.

The positive test comes after a recent trip to Florida where Pritzker addressed the state Democratic convention. Several close contacts of Governor Pritzker have already tested positive.
