MARION, Ill. (WJPF) – A Marion is facing drug and weapons charges after he was caught by police in possession of meth, weed, and brass knuckles.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s says around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, deputies saw Wallace Payton, 23, standing outside the Huck’s Convenience Store on South Court Street in Marion.  Payton had an outstanding warrant for domestic battery.

Wallace Payton was pulled over a few blocks away and while being placed into handcuffs confessed to deputies about the contraband in his pockets.  He was cited for possession of methamphetamine, possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful use of a weapon.
