The Jackson County Emergency Management Agency has provided an update on the CodeRED alert system after last week’s cybersecurity incident.
Officials say that on December 1, data was successfully restored into the CodeRED by Crisis24 platform using backup information from the former OnSolve CodeRED system.
The restored data includes community notification enrollments, E-911 records, and some utility customer information, reflecting data as of March 31 of this year.
County officials previously said the attack was carried out by an organized cybercriminal group that specifically targeted the CodeRED system.
