A routine traffic stop in rural Franklin County has led to drug and gun charges against two men.
Deputies say methamphetamine was found in the vehicle, and a loaded handgun was recovered from a passenger.
Sixty-six-year-old Charles Shepherd Jr. of Thompsonville and 26-year-old Judah Herring of Bradley were taken to the Franklin County Jail.
Shepherd faces drug paraphernalia and traffic charges, along with an outstanding warrant, while Herring faces multiple felony drug and weapons charges.
