Voting is open and will run through midnight Sunday for our next Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois in Mt. Vernon Prime Time Performer.

Here are your nominees for January 26-31:

Raymond Andrews, Mt. Vernon: The senior finished 9th with 2634 pins to medal individually at the Boys State Bowling Tournament. Andrews helped the Rams to a third place team finish.

Witten Devor, Waltonville: The junior scored 32 points in 2 games as the Spartans went 1-1 against a pair of 3A teams. Devor tallied 25 in a loss to Centralia

Evan Francis, Marion: The senior went 3-0 with 3 falls to win the 190 pound weight class at the Carbondale 2A Wrestling Regional. 

Landon Fricker, Hardin Co.: The senior scored 39 points, dished out 15 assists, and recorded 8 steals helping the Cougars go 3-0 and win the Greater Egyptian Conference Tournament title. Fricker tallied 25 points and 5 assists in the championship game against NCOE. 

Evyn Lemmon, West Frankfort: The senior scored 42 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to help the Lady Redbirds go 2-0 for the week. Lemmon surpassed the 1500 career point mark and currently stands fourth on the school’s all-time scoring list. 

LaNiyah Shelby, Mt. Vernon: The sophomore scored 42 points helping the Lady Rams go 2-0 for the week.

Logan and Julien Tanner, Murphysboro: The duo combined to go 6-0 with 6 falls to win a pair of weight classes, helping the Red Devils win the Herrin 1A Wrestling Regional. Julien’s 3 falls came in a combined 4:29 to win the 285 pound weight class, while Logan’s 3 falls came in a combined 4:30 to win the 190 pound weight class.  

Braxton Tittle, Benton: The junior went 2-0 with 2 falls in a combined time of 1:39 to win the 106 pound weight class at the Herrin 1A Wrestling Regioinal.

James Walker, Wayne City: The senior scored 48 points and surpassed 300 career assists while helping the Indians go 2-0 for the week. Walker tallied 28 points in a win over Edwards County.

Dalton Wheeler, Harrisburg: The junior finished 10th with 2632 pins to medal individually at the Boys State Bowling Tournament. Wheeler and the Bulldogs finished 7th as a team.
