Today is a day to honor our school bus drivers that make sure our kiddo’s make it to and from school and to all of our schools sporting events every single day.

On National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, we salute the true morning heroes—the brave souls who willingly pilot a giant yellow tank full of unpredictable, snack-fueled chaos through traffic before most of us have had coffee. With the reflexes of a race car driver, the patience of a saint, and the hearing ability to detect a whispered “he’s touching me” from three rows back, school bus drivers perform daily miracles. They know every pothole by name, every kid’s favorite seat, and exactly when someone is definitely about to stand up while the bus is still moving. So here’s to the drivers who keep the wheels turning, the kids safe, and somehow still manage a friendly wave—your sanity may be questionable, but your importance is not!
