PINCKNEYVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) – A local superintendent has been placed on administrative leave amid an investigation.

Due to allegations within the community, Pinckneyville Community Consolidated School District #204 superintendent and principal, Jerry Travelstead, has been placed on administrative leave.

Regional Office of Education Superintendent Matt Hickam has agreed to step in as interim superintendent during Travelstead’s absence.
