CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – An Iowa man is facing charges after crashing into a home in Carbondale.

On Tuesday April 28, just after 9pm, officers responded to the 300 block of North Springer Street for a report of a traffic crash involving a vehicle that struck a residence. 

Officers learned the driver of the vehicle was 34 year old Eric Chase of Waterloo, IA.

Chase was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other injuries reported and the residence did not appear to have any damage.

Chase was cited for No Valid Driver’s License, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Aggravated Driving Under the Influence. 

He was released pending a court appearance.
