JACKSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – One person is facing attempted murder in Jackson County.

Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene in De Soto May 13 just after 11pm, for a report of a domestic disturbance.

Marcus Moultrie of De Soto has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after two individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Moultrie was taken to the Jackson County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
