The Herrin Tigers were selected as the team of the week this past Saturday after their first ever Eldorado Holiday Tournament championship.  Matt Varney and coach Sayler Shurtz sit down and discuss the huge EHT victory, as well as the youth that Herrin has:

The Du Quoin Indians were selected as the Team of the Week after a 28-14 win over Murphysboro that improved them to 5-4 on the season and earned them the 10 seed in the 3A Southern Bracket of the IHSA Playoffs.  Coach Derek Beard spoke with Matt Varney on the victory, earning a high seed for a 5-4 team, and their opponent in the first round: Carlinville

Former John A. Logan big man Jamarion Sharp is doing big things at Western Kentucky these days.  In just his first season with the Hilltoppers he's already set the single season record for blocks in a season and there's still plenty of season left to add on to that total.
