CHRISTOPHER — The Waltonville Spartans removed any suspense early jumping out to a 16-4 lead and never looking back, blasting New Athens 72-41 in the semifinals of the 51st Christopher Turkey Tournament.

Waltonville advances to make it an all-Midland Trail Conference title game Saturday evening against Webber.

The Spartans led 30-10 after one quarter and extended that lead to 52-28 by halftime before cruising to the 31-point win.

Jagger Mayville led Spartans in double figures with 21 points. Witten Devor added 14 and Ryley Stewart 13.
