VIENNA — Massac County and and the host Eagles both picked up wins Friday night, setting up a head to head matchup for the championship of the Vienna Classic Saturday night.
In the opener, Jude Harmon poured in 29 and Dee Carruthers added 18 as the Patriots used a big second half to beat Eldorado 77-59. The Eagles, who were led by Maddex Rash’s 19 points, led 30-25, but the Patriots rallied to take the lead and used a 14-0 third quarter run to take control.
In the nightcap, Vienna, held off Meridian 61-51. Silas Kreuter led the way for the Eagles with 23 points. Bryan Stepp added 14. Cassius Woodson led the Bobcats with 22.
Here’s the schedule for Saturday’s final night of the tournament–Meridian will take on Eldorado at 6:00 followed by Massac County and Vienna in the final game.
