MURPHYSBORO — Senior Myles Guthman poured in 22 points helping Murphysboro cruise to a 61-29 win over Du Quoin in the final game both teams before Christmas.

Cash Brooks added 12 and Michael Bradfield 10 for the Red Devils who improve to 5-3 on the season.  Du Quoin (3-4) was led by Andrew Hawkins who scored eight points.

Up next, the Indians will open play in the Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament against the host Red Devils Friday at 6:00. Murphysboro will open play in the Duster Thomas Hoops Classic at Pinckneyville Saturday morning at 9:00 against Mt. Carmel.
