Goreville Blackcats head coach Todd Tripp led the Blackcats to a 66-37 win Monday evening over Century on the opening night of the Superman Classic, marking their 16th win of the season.  That win moved the Blackcats to the right of the bracket into the semifinals and also marked Tripp’s 500th career win.

The Blackcats will now face Massac County in the tournament semifinals on Friday night at 7:15.

Tripp improves to 500-236 on his career.  He has a 480-189 record at Goreville since taking over in 2004.
