A Marion man was arrested Friday evening after police say he repeatedly returned to a West Main Street business despite being warned to stay away.

Marion Police arrested 56-year-old John A. Lott of Marion around 7:15 p.m. in the 2600 block of West Main Street. He is charged with criminal trespass to a building, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.

Police say officers had been called to the business several times throughout the day because of Lott’s behavior and had warned him not to return. When officers were called back again Friday night and found him on the property, he was taken into custody.

During a search, officers say they found a syringe containing a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Lott was taken to the Williamson County Jail where he is being held pending a detention hearing.
