CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) – A ground-breaking is happening today in Carterville.

Prairie Museum is celebrating a groundbreaking at 10am April 10 at John A. Logan College.

The Prairie Museum’s exterior will resemble a nineteenth-century church and the interior will provide space for cultural, historical,  art exhibits, and seating for small group events.

After the groundbreaking, a reception will follow with a pop-up art exhibit.

Volunteers will be on site to provide tours for visitors.
