HERRIN, Ill. (WJPF) – A man is facing multiple charges after a burglary in Herrin.

On May 10, police responded to a residence in the 3000 block of North Park Avenue. 

Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect had entered the residence’s garage without permission and caused damage to items inside before leaving the scene.

 The suspect was driving a white van, which was later located unattended at Neil Tire.

While investigating, officers were able to identify 34 year old Larry Sanders as the suspect.

Sanders has been charged with Burglary, Criminal Damage, and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. Investigators confirmed that Sanders had stolen the van from another residence prior to the incident on N. Park Avenue.

 Sanders was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
