I had a chance to talk with 12-year-old Luke Bryant on today's Kent in the Country Morning Show! This kid is a fisherman extraordinaire! He may not wear skinny jeans like the country singer, Luke Bryan, but he sure can catch a catfish! Luke is from Goreville and he caught and released this 9 1/2 pound channel cat at a pond in Johnson county! Way to go Luke! Tanner Sheldon, aka "Turtle Boi", is 14-years-old from Harrisburg, IL, and is a master scuba diver. He is also extremely passionate about keeping Southern Illinois beautiful! He regularly spends days picking up bags of trash from the country roads throughout Saline County. I had a chance to talk with Tanner on this morning's Kent in the Country Morning Show, and he was able to showcase his "Earth Day Challenge" for 2022. Starting April 1st, and running through May 1st, take a picture with a sack of trash that you've picked up, share it with the hastag, #turtleboi, and you could win some pretty cool prizes!
