The Murphysboro Red Devils were selected as the Team of the Week in Week 1 of the Football season after the Red Devils outlasted Carbondale 46-43 in a triple overtime thriller. Brad Norman was announced as the next Head Golf Coach at Murphysboro on Wednesday this week. The move came as a shock to some as Norman has revived the Chester Yellowjackets boys basketball program and made it in to a regular powerhouse in the Black Diamond West.
