Dee James on Weekends!

Dee James began her radio career in 1983 as a Disc Jockey for WMCL AM
Country radio in McLeansboro, Illinois. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s,
Dee was an on-air personality for radio stations in her home state of Illinois
and neighboring Indiana. In 2007, she transitioned from music formats to
News/Talk. While at Newsradio WJPF, Dee was awarded Best Newscast and
Best News Reporter by the Illinois Broadcasting Association in 2008 and
2009, respectively. In 2013, Dee followed her husband to North Dakota for
an eleven year adventure in the Peace Garden state, where she was a radio
news reporter. Dee is glad to be back in her home of southern Illinois and
back where she started, on Country Radio. She makes her home in
Pinckneyville with her husband, Mark, and Sheltie dog, Bear.
