MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WJPF) — A Carbondale man has been sentenced to six years behind bars for burglary.

Prosecutors say Javareus Briggs, 20, was caught by police on September 7, 2020 burglarizing a business on East Main Street in Carbondale.

Just days before the September 7 burglary, Briggs was put on probation for a separate burglary incident.
