FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — A small earthquake rattled parts of Franklin County Monday.

The 2.3 magnitude quake was recorded at about 7:30 a.m. near Thompsonville. No damage was reported.

Earthquakes registering a 3.0 and below on the Richter Scale are not usually able to be felt by humans.
