MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WJPF) – The Jackson County Health Department is reporting two COVID-19 deaths from the past week.

One a female in her fifties, the other a male in his sixties.

The health department reported 300 new cases for the week ending February 12, an average of 43 new cases per day. Tt’s the third consecutive week of declining case number in Jackson County. The daily new case average for the week ending February 5 was 76 per day. For the week ending January 29, the daily average was 145 new cases per day. And for the week ending January 22, the daily new case average was 214 per day.
