Police officers from the city of Carbondale responded to the area of the 500 block of South James Street on Friday afternoon to a report of shots fired. 

Any suspects fled from the area before the officers arrived.

No injuries or damage were reported. Police believe the vehicle of the suspect traveled eastbound on West Cherry Street after the shots.
