A water main replacement in Carbondale is expected to start on Monday.

A water line will be replaced along S. University and S. Normal Avenues. Interruptions in water access are expected between 9am and 5pm. Outages are also possible during this time.

Anyone who experiences off-colored water should run cold water until it clears.

Carbondale’s Utilities Department is available at 618-457-3240 via extension 1 to customers with questions during normal working hours.
