MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WJPF) – A Carbondale man has been sentenced to 21 years in prison on weapon and drug charges.

According to the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Deangelo Gray, 27, was a cocaine dealer and conspired with another person to sell the drug at least 5 separate times in Jackson County.

Gray was also a convicted felon. In July 2022, he was arrested after he brought a gun into the emergency room of SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Deangelo Gray was convicted of one count of being an armed habitual criminal and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. He pleaded guilty to six counts of cocaine delivery.
