Mrs. Michelle Summers is a first grade teacher at Denning Elementary School in West Frankfort, and for the past 18 years + she has been collecting aluminum can tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities.  She collects them throughout the school year, and then usually has a volunteer take the tabs to a Ronald McDonald House in Memphis.  This year she was able to make the donation herself with her husband.  WOW!  Tabs donated last year provided $25,000 to help families at one of their greatest times of need.  Families don't have to spend any money to stay close to their child whenever they are sick in the hospital, and the donations of aluminum tabs coming in to Mrs. Summers' classroom will make sure these families can focus on what's really important!  If you would like to start collecting tabs and donate to Mrs. Summers' class, you can email her at mesummers@wfschools.org!
